The New Jersey Senate voted 29-5 Monday to allow Atlantic City casino operators to offer online gambling to residents of New Jersey, as well as gamblers outside of the U.S.

New Cosponsor Added To Frank Internet Gambling Bill
Two new co-sponsors have jumped on board to support Frank’s attempt at regulating online gambling, bringing the total to 68, or 15% of the voting population of the House of Representatives. The newest editions hail from New York and Nevada, with the latter being a pivotal vote for the bill.

Nev. Assembly OKs stripped-down online poker bill
Members of the Assembly unanimously passed the measure, which calls on Nevada regulators to design rules that would only take effect after the federal government legalizes online gambling. It now goes to the Senate, and the sponsor said he expects it will pass on that side.
